She was predeceased by: her husband George A. Brown; her siblings, Nellie, Johnnie, Montana "Monte" and Barney; and her children, Twila G. Nygaard and George C. Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Clinton J. Brown (Jeannie), John M. Brown (Donna), Zane N. Brown (Pam) and Webb S. Brown (Kathy); and her children-in-law, Richard Nygaard and Kathy Brown. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Trout Creek Senior Center. A reception was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Montana 4-H Foundation, an organization that meant so much to Katie throughout her life.
