He was predeceased by: his parents, Abby Gertrude Harger and Charles Merrill Evans; his daughter Donna Rutledge; and his siblings, Ray, Alton, Wayne, Mike and Betty Shirley (Evans).
He is survived by: his wife Donna Evans; his siblings, James Dale Evans and Ann Kizzira Hardee; his in-laws, Roger and Carol Wetz; his niece Angela Wetz; his great-niece Elizabeth Wetz; his sons, William Grady Evans (Kathy), Charles Bryan Evans and James Edward Evans (Leigh Rozanne); and his grandchildren, Will Evans (Lane), Audrey Ivey (Jacob), Sherilyn, Summer, Tyler, Joshua, Jennifer Leigh, Heather Leanne, Kayla Marie, Jessica Marie, Christopher Lee, James David, Jamie Shirley, Robby Rutledge and Paul Rutledge (Tina). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
