He was predeceased by: his parents, Mikkel Hoff (Mike) and Alma Caroline Hoff (Sorenson); his parents-in-law, AC and Katherine Brooks; his brothers, Edward and Haral; his brother-in-law Bob Hewitt; his nephews, Jeff Hewitt and Scott Murray; and his niece Marsha Murray-Lusby (Cammie Hewitt).

He is survived by: his wife Avice; his daughters, Erika Brooke (Benjamin) and Camila Skinner (Jonathan) of Sidney, MT; his grandchildren, Ivanna and Preston Brooke; his sister Karen Brooke (Jerry); his sisters-in-law, Marlys Hoff, Joan Murray, Connie Lord (Ed) and Phyllis Lewis; and his nieces and nephews, Annette Kreft, Jill Mickel, Audrey Olson, Kathy Ficken, Todd Hewitt, John Lord, Jim and David Lewis.

A memorial leadership scholarship through the Montana 4-H Foundation has been established at Taylor Hall, MSU, Bozeman, MT in his honor.
