He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Mathews and Myrtle Mathews (Pedersen); his wife Fay Mathews (Popescu); his granddaughter Sherry Orser (Heath); and his son-in-law James Miano.
He is survived by: his sisters, Myrtle and Carol Jean; his children, Bonnie Miano (Mathews), Lou Anne Schultz (Rick Schultz), Melanie Neubauer (Kim Neubauer) and Jay Mathews; and his grandchildren, Kristy, Matthew, Nicholas, Kyle, Brian, Jason and Alicia.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Medicine Lake Lutheran Church (215 1st Ave S, Medicine Lake, MT 59247). A burial will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at the Medicine Lake Cemetery.
