He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Lyons and Vera Lyons. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, C. J., MiAe, Anna, Jim, Katie and Ray; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Greg, Clay, MiAn, Anthony, Jay, Alesha, Carl, Fisher and Charlie. He is also survived by friends, neighbors, fellow cowboys, and members of the rodeo family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (306 2nd Ave, St Ignatius, MT 59865). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ninepipes Lodge (69286 US-93 South, Charlo, MT 59824).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local 4-H club or the Tough Enough to Wear Pink foundation, in honor of Charley’s lifelong commitment to rodeo, youth, 4-H, and his ability to pull off pink.
