He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Smedsrud-Whitten and Trish Smedsrud-Carpenter; his grandchildren, Olivia Whitten, Wesley Gordon Whitten, Sarah Carpenter and Amelia Carpenter; and his siblings, Duane Smedsrud, Roger Smedsrud and Lisa Hanson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
