He was predeceased by : his parents, James Thornton and Jane "Dolly" Thornton. He is survived by : his wife Mary Lou; and his children, Julie Hutchinson (Wesley) of Okotoks, AB and Bruce Thornton (Christina) of Shelby. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
