It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert H. Kern in Shepherd, Montana, born in Saint Xavier, Montana, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Kern (Bob) and Gloria Kern (Schneider); his daughters, Kimberly Kern, Jamie Christian (Kern) and Brandi Kern; his grandchildren, Korah, Anthony, Isabella and Amasa; his great grandchild Everly; his sisters, Cyndi Johnson (Keith), Sandy Fink (Bill), Brenda Sudduth and Valerie Gilbertson (Paul); and his grandparents, Henry, Agnes Schneider, Jake and Pauline Kern. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smith Downtown Chapel (925 S 27th St, Billings, MT 59101). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church (2336 St Johns Ave, Billings, MT 59102). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (569 Cemetery Rd, Hardin, MT 59034).
Memorials can be made in our dad's name to Mount Olive Church.
