She was predeceased by : her parents, Kermit Swenson and Gyda Swenson (Holey); her son Joel; her grandson Ian Sponheim; her parents-in-law, Severt and Gunny Sponheim; her nephew Bryan Schock; and her sister-in-law Glorianne Swenson.

She is survived by : her husband Lyle Sponheim; her children, Eric Sponheim (Sharon), Paul Sponheim (Cindy), Tina Murphy (Christopher) and Sara Singer (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Isaac Sponheim, Laurel Sponheim, Joshua Sponheim, Noah Singer, Jeremiah Singer, Abigail Sponheim and Naomi Sponheim; her stepgrandchildren, Jordan Street, Dakota Street, Ashleigh Sponheim, Daniel Raleigh and Joey Raleigh; her siblings, Wayne Swenson, Susan Schock (Oscar), Janice Hunter (Milo), Carolyn Nenow (Doug), Laurie Bigwood (Chuck) and Kerry Finsaas (Darrell); and her siblings-in-law, Arlene Willis (Larry) and Dale Sponheim (Tammy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
