He is survived by : his mother Hilda Scheetz (Odenbach); his former life partner Kathy Reynolds; his stepfather Harold Reck; his wife Emilyn Scheetz; his children, Kari Kummer, Erin Wells and Michael McDougal; his siblings, Patti Cummins (Bryan), Sherry Lessman (Scott) and Rick Scheetz (Cheryl); and his grandchildren, Bethany Wells, Kaden Kummer, Michael McDougal II and Hope McDougal.
