Bettas of Stevensville, MT; his daughter Ashley-Jane N. Bettas-Alcalá; his son-in-law Jose Alcalá; his granddaughter Kennedy Taylor Alcalá of Riverside, CA; his daughter Elizabeth-Anne Bettas of Pullman, WA; and his brother Richard A. Bettas of King Cove, AK.. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Students, staff, and faculty saw George as a "WSU legend" for his dedication and contributions to the campus there.
