He was predeceased by : his parents, Nelson Lewis and Mary Freeborn Lewis; his children, Charlotte and Billy; his stepson Nathan; and his siblings, Roger and Bonnie.

He is survived by : his former life partner Sue Jacobs; his wife Kelli; his stepson Justin Weigand; his grandchildren, Cynthia Joslin, Kayla Lewis, Tyler and McKenzie Sterling; and his great grandchildren, Miley, Emily, Travis, Leighann, Kyri, Kora and Clairie.
