Robert L Schaap wrote a sympathy message

“Please accept our sincere condolences. Bill was a friend for over 40 years. He combined knowledge of many subjects with almost a childlike enthusiasm for the subject of the moment. His knowledge of horses helped us launch our guest ranch operation as I soaked up as much information as possible. Bill helped us develop a marketing strategy in our early days. Bill always knew the right people to contact before the word “networking” became the word of the day. I did a lot of back country skiing with Bill and his competitive nature made our ski trips considerably more fun and exhausting than normal. In recent years, I regret that our contacts with Bill and Georgene have been too few. For that I apologize. The obituary did not mention the time or location fora memorial service. If possible we would like to attend. Bill has been a member of our extended family for many years. He will be missed. Bob and Vivian Schaap”
