She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Nelson and Blanch Nelson; her husband Kenneth Kessner; her daughter Kim; her children-in-law, Jerry Mahlum and Laura; and her siblings, Dorothy, Agnes and Leslie.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie, Rick (Jennifer) and Brian (Leslie); her grandchildren, Shad, Teah, Darby, Kelsey and Cody; and her great grandchildren, Luca, Yara, Abby, Luke, Brady, Jameson, Eliana, Ensley and Emerson.
