He is survived by: his mother Margaret "Meg" Gifford (Colorado); his brother Mark Weir (Colorado); his nephew Nate Weir (Colorado); and his aunts and uncles, Tim (Lynette), Susan Gifford (Montana), Pam Roturier (Lyonel) of Colorado, Bob Weir (Alice Newman) of Toronto, ON and Joan Weir (David Murrell) of Toronto, ON.

“He was always patient and loved to grow, loved art and loved his dogs. I looked up to him my whole life and wanted to be just like him. As all brothers do, he looked out for me, made sure I was OK. He would never admit but he loved more than he said. It's super hard to even write this because he would probably tell me to not even worry about it and straighten up!!
