She was predeceased by : her husband Mark O. Edwards; and her siblings, Allie Mills Sigmon, Polly Mills Kasprzak, John Tyson Mills and Edgar Coy Mills.

She is survived by : her children, Gary (Patti Edwards), Gail (Steve Robbins), Jill (David Slater) and Holly Edwards (Christy Harrup); her grandchildren, Marc Edwards, Claire and Matt Runyan; her great grandchild Colin Edwards; and her sisters, Emma Mills Sherrill and Rebecca "Becky" Mills Creekmore.
