With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Pittman of Aberdeen, North Carolina, born in Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emzie Powell Pittman and Foster Pittman; and her siblings, Aline Pittman, Irene Pittman, Marie Pittman, Merrilene "Baby" Keen, Wilbert Pittman and Worth Pittman.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Gant (John) of Aberdeen, NC, Willie Thompson (Kim) of Fairmont, Eddie Thompson (Bettie Joe) of Fairmont, NC and Julia Thompson of West End, NC.; and her siblings, Foster Pittman (Alberta) of Newburgh, NY, Shelby Brown of Bridgeport and Anita Warren of Bridgeport. She is also survived by several grand children, Great Grand Children and also Great-Great Grand Children.
