He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynwood Newton Moon and Doris Garner Moon. He is survived by: his wife Claudeen Pack Moon; his sons, Gary Alan Moon, Jr. (Susie), Augustus, Montgomery, Lynwood, Mark Lynwood Moon (Carrie), Leo and Ezra; and his sister Diana Moon Adams.
Under his fifty years of leadership both companies were able to thrive and make contributions to the local community.
