With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Ann Benitez of Aberdeen, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Barber Patterson and Prentice Lee Patterson; her daughter Donna Lynn Tevepaugh; and her brother Grady. She is survived by: her husband Julio Antonio Benitez; her daughters, Vicki Kay Edgington of Carthage and Debbie Gay Leonard (Eddie) of Carthage; and her siblings, Barbara, Pam, Wanda, Priscilla, Vivian, Lannie, Larry and Max. She is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394).
