He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wallace and Iris Burns Westmoreland; and his stepfather Richard Westmoreland. He is survived by: his daughter Keegan C. Burns of Greensboro; his sisters, Cecelia Burns Cook (Freddie) and Patricia Burns Hester; his nieces, Amanda Cook and Karen Ancuta (Mike); and his nephew Michael Hester (Cua).
