It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clay Howard Koontz (Advance, North Carolina), born in Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his parents, Lucille Jordan Koontz and Richard Howard Koontz; his brothers, David Anderson Koontz and Hoyle Jordan Koontz; and his close friend Holly King. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
