He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Ruth Ausband Hill; his brothers, William and Alan Hill; and his son-in-law Mason Linker.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Kristin Linker Brinker (Jeff); his grandchildren, Molly and Bo Linker; his stepgrandson Will Brinker; and his siblings-in-law, Malinda Hill and Phil Floyd. He is also survived by partner his grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church (646 W 5th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
