It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DeEtte Bryant Jarrard (Advance, North Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry H. Bryant and Vertie Smothers Bryant; her husband Vernon D. Jarrard; her son Dennis Wayne Jarrard; her brother Don Bryant; her aunt Maude Smothers; and her son-in-law Jerry Joyce.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna J. Joyce; her daughter-in-law Laura Jarrard; her grandchildren, Jessica, Clinton Jarrard, Amanda Dezarn (Travis) and Joshua Joyce (Janna); her great grandchildren, Kollyns Dezarn and Naomi Joyce; and her nephews, Justin and Cade Bryant.
