Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gwendolyn Herndon Loggins (Advance, North Carolina), born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 90, on April 6, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. M. Mann and Reba Chastain Mann; her children, Rev. Norman C. Herndon, Melissa Gwen Herndon Laws and Reba Margaret Herndon; her husband Thad R. Loggins; her stepson-in-law Gary Mendenhall; her stepgrandson Daniel Loggins; and her brothers, Johnny M. Mann and Billy F. "Sonny" Mann.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Tilley (Michael), Adina Horner (Ron) and Keith Herndon (Diane); her son-in-law Joe Laws (Elaine); her brother Dr. Frank Mann (Carolyn) of Royston, GA.; her stepchildren, Brenda Mendenhall, Roger Loggins (Nancy), Robert Loggins (Melanie) and Randy Loggins (Susan); her daughters, Brenda Bowman, Linda Shelton and Renee Shipley; and her close friend Jerry Ellegood. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
With Covid-19 shutdowns, she still found a way to volunteer by becoming part of the Card Connection Program for The Shepherd Center of WS, up until her hospitalization in early March 2023.
