He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Lee Pardue Whitman and Ralph Gray Whitman; his wife Adelene Watson Whitman; and his brothers, Robert, David and Tommy Whitman.
He is survived by: his sister Janet Whitman Andrews (Eddy) of Badin Lake. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
