It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda Boor McKain of Advance, North Carolina, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oren Eddy Boor and Mary Naomi Boor; and her siblings, Donald Boore (Rose), John Boore (Romona), Nancy West (Bud), Lila Mercer (Bob) and Doris Binnix (Jack).
She is survived by: her husband James Carroll "Jim" McKain; her children, Beverly J. Funderburk (Terry) of Advance, NC and James P. "Jim" McKain (Dani) of Upper Sandusky, OH; and her granddaughters, Katherine Funderburk Vogler (Robert) of Lewisville, NC, Kennedy McKain of Cleveland, OH, Curran McKain of Harrogate, TN and Claire Funderburk of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens (1290 Fairmont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26501).
The family suggests that memorials be made to Bethlehem Methodist Church, 321 Redland Rd. Advance, NC 27006.
