He is survived by: his children, Brooke Whitney Cottrell (Ryan) and Blake Whitney (Lauren); his grandchildren, Jones, Crosby Cottrell, Brynn, Delaney and Hudson Whitney; his siblings, Lynne Pruette (Sonny) and Gordon Whitney; and his aunt Virginia'Pete'Crater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
