He was predeceased by: his father Clarence William Askew, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Audrey Moss Askew of Ahoskie, NC; his daughter Larina Askew-Morris (Darryl) of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings, Sherry A. Courtney of Raleigh, NC, Audrey Arlee Askew of Springdale, MD, Lisa Askew of Mitchellville, MD, David Askew of Ahoskie, NC, Josef Askew of Ahoskie, NC and Billy Askew of Ahoskie, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunter's Funeral Home - Ahoskie (123 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr N, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (600 N Catherine St, Ahoskie, NC 27910).
