He is survived by: his wife Allison Long Gupton; his children, Meghan Powell (Chris Herrin) of Ahoskie, Kalen Gupton (Leanna) of Simpsonville and James Wade Wright of Melbourne, Florida.; his grandchildren, Kaiden Gupton and Kannon Gupton; his mother Vernell Tipton Wright of Chester; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Sue Vinson of Ahoskie; his cousins, Adam Shane Tipton of Virginia and Troy Tipton (Dana) of Carson, Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, John Long (Lori Harders) of Murfreesboro and Nada Piskulic (Jay). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (205 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
