He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Wiley Johnson, Sr. and Nannie Alford Johnson; and his brother Tommy Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Anne Holloman Johnson; his stepchildren, Walter Hunnicutt (Gina) of Clover, SC, Jerry Hunnicutt (Lisa) of Harrellsville and Mark Daniel Hunnicut (Kristina) of Winterville; his siblings, Paul Johnson (Linda) of Grimesland, Steve Johnson (Vanessa) of Simpson, Beth Johnson Stroud (Randy) of Ahoskie and Paige Pierce of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Chris Hunnicutt (Sarah) of Harrellsville, Joshua Hunnicutt (Sarah) of Charlotte, Stephanie Hunnicut of Clover, SC, Libby Grimes (Thomas) of Harrellsville, Emily Grace Kerr (James) of Summerton, SC, Megan Perreault (Chris) of Harrellsville and Walter Glen Hunnicutt of Clover, SC; and his great grandchildren, Nienke, Natalie, Aileigh Grace, Reese, Raleigh John and Eli Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
