It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Hunter Daughtrey Jr. (Ahoskie, North Carolina), born in Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hunter Daughtrey and Mattie McKeel Daughtrey; and his sisters, Joan Perry and Diana Cooke. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Morris Daughtrey; his sons, Andy Daughtrey (Shelly) and Justin Daughtrey (Anna); his grandchildren, Colin, Gabby and Emma Daughtrey; and his siblings, Robin Casper of Bethel, Alan Daughtrey (Cheryl) of Ontario, Kenneth Daughtrey of Aulander, Richard Daughtrey (Angi) of Henderson, Darlene Williams (Ricky) of Seaboard, Donna Lassiter of Aulander, Mike Daughtrey (Lil) of Aulander and Clarene Dawson (Joseph) of Aulander. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (205 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Johns Baptist Church (1645 NC-461, Ahoskie, NC 27910).
