He is survived by: his children, Wardell Gatling, Otis Gatling, Ronald Sawyer, Renee Vaughn, Jacqueline Poindexter, Felicia Davis, Chemese Smith and Mark Sawyer; and his siblings, Curtis Vinson, Alvin Vinson, Quinton Gatling, Frank Timothy Gatling, Michael Gatling, Alice Anderson, Catherine Wilkins and Joyce Vinson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
