He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Doc" Marion Murray and Ruby Alcon Murray; and his siblings, Clay Murray, Betty Justice, Louise Howerton and Dorothy Howerton.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Hawkins Murray; his son Cale E. Murray of Brown Summit; and his siblings, Judy Wyrick of Gibsonville and Jerry Murray of Snow Camp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
