She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Houston and Ethel May Voyles; and her siblings, Emmit Voyles, Hazel Watts and Ruby Skinner.
She is survived by: her son Jason Luther Cates; her granddaughter Summer Evans (Delaurance); her great grandchildren, Emma Evans and Josiah Evans; and her sister Carolyn Hicks.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Moores Chapel Cemetery.
