He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smith and Gail Bredbenner Boady; his stepfather Robert Boady; and his brother Doug Smith. He is survived by: his wife Leona Shuman Smith; his sons, Scott, Chad (Tanya), Chris, Johnie (Brandi) and Brandon (Jana); his granddaughter Sarah Ranicki (Andrew); and his brother Bradley Smith.
