He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Lee Lowder, Sr. and Vera Burris Lowder; his brother Jerry Lowder; and his sister-in-law Helen Lowder. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Layton; his children, Don Layton (Crystal) of Albemarle and Chris Layton (Maranda) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Emerald Riegel (Tanner), Allysa Williams (Hunter), Christian Layton (Peyton), Wesley Layton (Oleaha) and River Layton; his great grandchildren, Cayden, Henley, Eleanora and Halston; his siblings, Carl James Lowder (Marilyn) and Emily Miller (James); his sister-in-law Caron Lowder; and his nieces and nephews, Becky Goforth, Kenneth Lowder, Carla Weyrick, Lane Lowder, Paige Emerson, Helen Simonson and Susan Hazelet. He is also survived by faithful companion to his dogs.
