With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Harrington Pennington of Albemarle, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Hatley Harrington and Charles Eugene Harrington; her husband Harold Baxter Pennington; her siblings, Judy Harrington, Reba Harrington Thompson, Barry Harrington, Don Harrington and Larry Harrington; and her grandson Michael Jonathan Shope.

She is survived by: her brother Randy Harrington (Polly); her children, LaDonna Overcash (Harold Overcash), Rocky Pennington (Sherrie) and Tamma Pennington Shope (Edd); and her grandchildren, Brent Overcash (Jordan), Dr. Ryan Overcash (Michele), Landon Pennington (Cassie), Kyle Pennington, Jerrad Pennington (Chrissy), Danielle Pennington and Madison Shope Foushee (Jon). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
