Charles will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Charles by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Charles is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Charles’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Beauregard Lefler, Sr. and Carolyn Louise Mills Lefler; and his sister Carol Jean Lefler Cauble. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Miller Lefler; and his son Charles Matthew Lefler of Durham.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (230 S 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001-5702).
