It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Geraldine Poplin of Albemarle, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Misenheimer and Naomi Sells Misenheimer; her former husband Bobby Poplin; and her son-in-law Dennis Davidson. She is survived by: her children, Mickey Poplin (Joey) of New London, NC and Teresa Davidson of Guyton, GA; her grandsons, Bobby Poplin, Tyler Poplin of New London, NC and Matthew Davidson of Savannah, GA; her husband Gary Wilkinson of Michigan; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Hayden, Sadie, Kinsley, Jhett, Gunner, Jocelyn, Briella and Brayden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Paul's Crossing Baptist Church (40461 Pauls Crossing Rd, Richfield, NC 28137).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC or Paul's Crossing Baptist Church.
