He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barrier and Nell Lowder Barrier; his wife Jane Taylor Barrier; and his brothers, Jerry Barrier and Bobby Barrier.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Barrier (Karen) of Albemarle; his granddaughters, Gabriella Marge of Davidson and Julia Barrier of Kannapolis; his brother Jimmy Barrier (Pam) of Savannah, Georgia; and his niece Beth Hinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stanly Gardens (2001 E Main St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
