She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Washington and Dora Gladys Daniel Thompson; her husbands, William'Bill'Vance Hatley Jr. and Ray Mabry; her son Gary Hatley; and her siblings, Kathleen Kearns, Ruby Davis, Alton Thompson, Sarah Belcher, Clarence Thompson, Fred Thompson, Otis Thompson, Marvin Thompson, Rachel Thompson, Irene Thompson, Geraldine Lippe and Peggy Deese.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Lefler (C. W.) of Concord, Craig Hatley (Kelly) of Albemarle and Dickie Biggers of Albemarle; her grandchildren, Josh Hatley (Amanda), Felicia Whitley (Jordan), Adam Hatley (Chantal) and Tiffany Hatley; and her siblings, Ethel Davis (Vern), Doris McRae (Stimpson), Frank Thompson (Kathy) and Paul Thompson (Christy). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the God's Church (36117 NC-740, Albemarle, NC 28009). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
