He was predeceased by: his parents, Cara William Russell and Stella Lynn Russell; his wife Patricia Ann Russell; his siblings, Nancy Diane Vanhoy, Mary Lou Garden and Ronald Russell; and his granddaughter Emaline Cox.
He is survived by: his daughters, Hannah Russell (Luke Smith) of Albemarle, NC and Savannah Cox (Parker); his granddaughters, McKenna and Fionnlee Cox of Salisbury, NC; his daughter Debra Helms; his grandsons, Cody, Adam and Ricky of Albemarle, NC; and his sister Eva Ann Biby of Norwood, NC..
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home & Crematory (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
