He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Talbert and Ethel Hatley Talbert; his wife Carolyn Trull Talbert; and his siblings, Delores Harris, Juanita Hatley, Rovetta Bullock and Jim Talbert.
He is survived by: his son James Martin Talbert, Jr. (Donna) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Sean Talbert (Hayley) of Kimbolton, England and Dr. Katie Talbert (Cally) of Boone, NC; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Ruth Talbert and Coric Morrill.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mission Church or Tillery Compassionate Care.
