She is survived by: her children, Denene Mills (Michael) of Albemarle and James Derrick Thomas of New London; and her grandchildren, Ethan Thomas (Melissa), Erik Thomas (Cassie) and Madelyn Mills. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
