She was predeceased by: her parents, Callie Mae and Leroy Carpenter; her daughter LaKenya Carpenter; and her grandson Rodney Taylor, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Ryan Carpenter; her granddaughter Ce'Kayia Carpenter; her stepdaughter Kenisha Hinson; and her siblings, Wayne Carpenter of Norwood, Veta Dalton (Thomas) of Winston Salem, Robert Carpenter (Tammy) of Winston Salem, Sandra Colson (Orrin) of Norwood, Theresa Carpenter of Winston-Salem, Phyllis Carpenter, Robert Harrell of Albemarle, Crystal Carpenter of Norwood and Kesha Little (Kenautis) of Norwood. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
