He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lee Cranford and Velma Cranford; his brothers, Jerry and Robert Daniel Cranford; and his daughter Donna Forsythe.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Cranford; his children, Chris Cranford and Kathy Blalock (Doug); and his siblings, Doug Cranford (Debbie) and Jane D. Smith (Don). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Palestine Cemetery (35614 Palestine Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
