While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her father Wilburn Sides; and her nephew Lee Deese. She is survived by: her mother Margie Lambert Sides; her husband Tommy Whitley; her son Barry Whitley (Camey) of New London; her grandchildren, Hannah Whitley and Tommy Wayne Whitley; her sister Jana Deese; and her nephew Travis Roberts. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Memorial Park (2001 E Main St, Albemarle, NC 28001-9106).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tillery Compassionate Care, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
