She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Alexander Morton and Vernie Mauldin Morton; her husband James Harold Bowers; and her son Jeffrey Harold Bowers. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Bowers Casey of Albemarle; her brother Glenn Morton of Albemarle; and her granddaughters, Jessica Casey of Kannapolis and Taylor Casey of Concord.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Stanly Gardens (2001 E Main St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
