She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Gunther Saunders and Osia Bertha Slack Saunders; her great-grandparents, Laban Elsevan Slack, Mary Adelaide Lowder Slack, Thomas and Elizabeth Lowder; her son Richard Gregory Summers; and her brother Hiram Wade Saunders.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Lee Bryan; and her children, Nicola Robert Timothy (Tim), Tammi Marie Summers Artley and Janet Elisabeth Bryan-Helm. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001).
