In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary Louise is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary Louise's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Akin; and her sister Ruth Tackett. She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Purser (Vone); her sister Joyce Whisnant; her grandchildren, Lindsay Hanners and Ashley Bullin; and her great grandchildren, Addison Bullin and Jackson Bullin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel (522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Albemarle NC.
